Mission Statement

Our mission is to preach the gospel to the lost and those who believe and are baptized (Mark 16:16) to be taught to be disciples of Jesus christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

John 14:15 "If you love me you will keep my commandments."

Vision Statement

The Springfield Church of Christ is seen as a fellowship of believers worshipping our Holy God and serving as a guiding light to all God's children, encouraging them to develop a true relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  She is a warm, friendly, caring body that embraces spiritual and numerical growth.  She preaches and teaches the Word, winning souls throughout the world while encouraging and supporting the Believers.

What We Believe

  • We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son.
  • That He was born of the virgin Mary.
  • That He grew in stature with God and man.
  • That He lived a pure, sinless life.
  • That He was crucified at the hands of men.
  • That He rose again on the third day.
  • That He ascended into heaven.
  • That He will one day return to earth to claim His own at God's command.
  • That He left us His wonderful plan of salvation in His infallible word.

Hear

Romans 10:17

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

Believe

 Mark 16:16

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Repent

 Acts 2:38

Luke 15:7

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Confess

Matthew 10:32

They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him.

Be Baptized

Acts 2:38

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Rise to Walk

 Romans 6:4

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
